Comic-Con: American Gods brings a trailer and casts Kristin Chenoweth

With the TV series' story expanding on the book's concept of a brewing conflict between the old and new gods (with the new including technology and Anderson's Media), Easter is one of the Old Gods, and will be a prime target for recruitment by Mr. Wednesday (McShane) and Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle).

She's a supporting character in the source material and it looks like she'll be much the same thing in the show, though certain characters (including Emily Browning's Laura Moon, wife of Shadow) will be given more narrative. “We get to spend a lot more time with a lot more characters than in the book,” Gaiman told the Comic-Con crowd, which was naturally receptive to him.

The casting of Chenoweth marks a reunion between the actress and Fuller, as she was a regular on one of his previous shows, Pushing Daisies. Can Lee Pace (assuming his film career and Halt And Catch Fire schedule don't get in the way) be far behind?
